Last week, a friend told me about her theory on priests in Rome. The theory being that the priests are really hot here. After she said it, I have to say that I started noticing that it’s true. You see so many young priests here, which seems so different from most of my priest sightings state-side.
With this in mind, I nearly died when I walked by this calendar hanging at the local news stand.
That’s right, it’s the Rome calendar of priests. There’s one page of “notes about the Vatican” where the purpose of the calendar is stated as “to give basic information and some notes on the general characteristics of the Vatican with the hope of sating the thirst for knowledge continually demonstrated by Eternal City visitors.” Ok. No comment.
The other pages are as you’d expect: there’s one priest for each month.
To sate your thirst for knowledge of the Vatican, below is a snapshot.
Here’s Mr. October if you were wondering. He’s wearing a snazzy hat. Note the tiny row of numbers at the bottom. That’s how you tell which day it is. Duh.
Just had to share.
I have to go now, before God strikes me dead for sharing this blasphemy.
