Some (okay, one) of you asked to see some pictures of my neighborhood. Great news: I take requests. Here goes!
Our little apartment is at the end of this street, right before Gianicolo Hill.
This piazza is a few blocks away and I come here to do most of my daily business: grocery shopping, gelato eating, wine purchasing, etc.
These pictures are kind of random, but I posted them to tell you that there is a “pasta laboratory” on my street. It’s a store called Il Tortellino and the woman who owns it makes fresh pasta that makes me drool everytime I walk by. I am going to make a tortellini soup and try out her product on Wednesday night.
Everyone in my neighborhood drives a vespa. My apartment is by a dead end, so therefore, I’m pretty much next to the local bike rack.
It’s been a lovely place to live so far.
Lest you think it’s all unicorns and rainbows, though, here’s a shot of a typical sidewalk.
Seems like everyone has a dog, and no one cleans up poop. Looking at the sidewalk in front of you before you step is highly recommended.
Those are all the semi-interesting shots I could get on a walk to the grocery store this afternoon. More to come. And, if you have any other requests for stuff I should do/write about, please feel free to comment!
